Spring 2019 Subscription | The Stone Leaves | Issues 2.1 - 2.3
£20.00 On sale
Get all three issues (March, April and May) from the 2019 Spring Season. This extra special season is its own stand-alone micro adventure, taking place in the Cryptogram universe but following a character we have yet to meet. Perfect for first timers, The Stone Leaves is a guest-written-and-illustrated* mini series that uses the Crypto formula to tell the story of Otto, a reclusive magic user who is coaxed out of retirement. And seasoned readers will be rewarded with backstory relevant to our main storyline. What will this mean for Anna's story when we return to her in June? Read to find out!
*Alexi Conman, Steve Larder, Jem Milton, D Newman and Sophie Robin.
For descriptions of individual issues, please see other listings or the Cryptogram Puzzle Post website (cryptogrampuzzlepost.com). Cryptogram Puzzle Post is a monthly illustrated puzzle story inspired by witchcraft and alchemy. Each issue consists of an envelope, containing a series of pages that form a stand-alone chapter in an ongoing story. You begin by reading the first page, studying the illustration and puzzling to find the right shard of information that will help you progress towards your final answer. To try it for yourself, visit the ‘Freebies’ section of the website to download the first three issues.
This project is an entirely self-published experiment in art, gaming and storytelling; created by artist Jack Fallows, printed by local workers co-op Footprint (Leeds, UK) and lovingly assembled by hand. The envelopes are roughly A5-size and full-colour laser printed, and the interior pages are all two-colour risograph prints.
